Anne Begg has a rare genetic condition called Gauchers Disease. One effect of this is to cause the bones in the legs to crumble slowly. Problems began when she was a teenager. This made life difficult for her but she has never given in. She became the first person in Scotland to teach from a wheelchair and now she has become the first wheelchair-using MP.
